Why do I need a website if I already use Facebook?

That's a good question. We don't mind Facebook. It's a powerful tool for businesses to reach potential customers, but it is not enough on its own for several reasons.

Firstly, Facebook's design limitations restrict a business's ability to customize its online presence to match its branding, as the platform's design elements are standardized and not customizable beyond a profile picture and header image.

Secondly, Facebook's algorithm prioritizes content from users' friends and family, leading to low organic reach for business pages. On average, only about 5% of a business's fan base sees each post without paid promotion. Additionally, Facebook's advertising model can be costly, and not all businesses can afford to boost their posts to ensure visibility.

Another critical factor is search engine optimization (SEO). Google prioritizes official websites and local listings over Facebook pages in search results, meaning a business's website is more likely to appear at the top of search results, capturing more potential customers.

Lastly, not all potential customers are on Facebook. According to Statista, upwards of 21% of online UK adults are not on Facebook, and higher-income individuals are even less likely to be on the platform. A website, however, is accessible to everyone with internet access, providing a broader reach.
